Can SEO Ever Be Easy?!

Can you ever have easy SEO?! We hear it all the time; ‘SEO is so hard, it’s so technical, I really son’t know where to start‘. And we get it, we really do, but here’s the thing; it’s not nearly as hard as a lot of web designers, SEO firms and techies would have you believe. Sure, it’s not as easy as posting on social media, but it’s the gift that keeps on giving – after all, we don’t own social media. Ever.

With that in mind, I did a quick video from my kitchen in my hoodie (which got me some haters), and then I took out any e̶x̶t̶r̶a̶n̶… e̶x̶t̶r̶a̶en̶… stuff  which wasn’t necessary and got the video down to 5 top tips for easy SEO and about a minute and a half….

(Yes, it's the whole transcript, I got lazy)

Tiny businesses and SEO don’t always go together, so Digital Fixers today is here to show you how to do it quickly and easily.

We’re going to jump right in to top five tips that I think you should be able to implement within about half an hour, and you can do it over and over and over and over and over again.

So firstly, you’re going to take one of your most frequently asked questions. You’re going to research it and tweak it so that  you’re answering that question, but in search terms that people are actually looking for. You’re going to write an article between three and 500 words upwards, that has the keyword in it (the title is the keyword phrase), and make sure that the the URL of that post is also that keyword phrase.

Number 4, you’re going to put images in that in the article, and you’re going to
edit the <alt> text so that it is your keyword phrase as well.

Number five, you’re going to share the blog post.

Um, and yeah, that literally rinse and repeat. In two weeks’ time, take your next FAQ.
And that’s it… I’ve got this down now that I can do this in 10 minutes.

Easy SEO, 5 Top Tips

1. Take one of your FAQs (eg ‘How do I start growing my own food?’)

2. Go over to ubersuggest, answer the public, moz and other sites to find some keywords with decent search sizes (1000+) and low competition which match your chosen FAQ.

3. Create an article, video or some other piece of content which addresses this question and uses the keywords you’ve found above. Put the keyword in the title, make sure the url is the keyword and sprinkle it throughout the text in a natural way.

4. Add images – either create some using canva or another service, or take some pics and upload them yourself. Edit the <alt> text in these images to your keyword.

5. Share your content. Sharing is not being pushy, salesy or spammy. It’s showing people what you have created!
